Easter is early this year (April 8th) and, as usual, we’re your one-stop shop for the cutest and most delicious treats! Many of your favorites are back (caramel robins’ eggs, real Cadbury creme eggs and Seagull eggs) as well as new items (dark chocolate bunnies, gianduja farm animals and chocolate chicks) which are all sure to please! I love this time of year, and not just because I was born in the spring, but because, as one of my customers says, “Every piece of candy is happy.”

If you’re planning a party or Easter hunt at your home, need the coolest Easter basket imaginable, or just love the candy of the season, we’ve got everything you could possibly need or want! Please order your custom Easter baskets (well, boxes) as soon as possible, as this is one the busiest times of the year for us and we want you to have the best selection possible to choose from.

Here’s how it works… If we book an event with your company based on your referral, you will get a gift certificate for 10% of the total value of the event as soon as that event is booked and we receive a deposit. Just do the math: if your company books a candy cart event for $3,000, you, my friend, will have a $300 gift certificate from our store in your pocket! Just think what you could do with all that candy. Seriously, think about it. Like, now.

Halloween Treats, No Tricks

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays – how can you not love a holiday where candy is the central player? We’ve got everything from gummi candy corn to pumpkin spice caramels to make your party a success! We’ve also got great candy accessories for your creative costumes and if you want to be the coolest house on the block, you’ll want to stock up on our hard-to-find candy for your trick-or-treaters.

We’ll also be having our 5th annual Halloween Event on Halloween day, Monday October 31st! Our fully stocked candy cart will be outside the store from 3-6pm and everyone in or out of costume will get a take-out container to fill with the candies of their choosing. The event is free and all ages are welcome! Please tell everyone you know, the more the merrier!

Seasonal candy tends to sell very quickly, so please come sooner than later to fulfill all of your candy needs. See you all soon!

Swedish Candy Has Arrived!

The Swedes know candy: they consume more per capita than other country in Europe. We’re excited to have six new Swedish candies at the store, which are very delicious and extremely hard to come by in this country. They are…

Raspberry Hallonshots. Raspberry flavored gummi’s, hard in texture and extremely sour.

Sour Skulls. Skull-shaped gummi’s, in pineapple, raspberry and green apple and very, very sour. We’re constantly asked what the most sour candy in the store is and the answer now is…these!

Swedish Monkeys. Tiny little red monkeys, flavored similarly to Swedish fish, but with a much more firm texture.

Salmiak Carpets. Perfectly chewy, medium salty and fun to pull apart.

Vanilla Sockerbitar. Similar to a vanilla marshmallow, but with a much chewier texture. I’m SO into these!

Strawberry Sockerbitar. Amazing strawberry flavor, fantastic chew, and phenomenally delicious! LOVE these!

Spring Has Sprung!

Easter is our second busiest holiday at the store, just behind Christmas. The candy is colorful, playful, and – it goes without saying – delicious! It’s hard to resist picking up a chocolate floppy-eared bunny or a mallo kabob at any age and not smiling. Pictured below are just some of the wonderful items we have this season – all of which are in stock right now, so don’t wait until the last second or you will be out of duck, I mean luck (wow, that was bad).

New this year is our custom Easter basket service – choose the container you like and the candy you want included in it and let us do the rest. Or you can simply give us a budget and allow us to work our creative magic for you. Don’t forget that grown-ups like candy too! So take this opportunity to kiss up to your kid’s teachers before grades come out or to thank your accountant for finding those extra write-offs. Whatever the case may be, we’ve got you covered. Red Tie Gala

The Red Tie Gala is a fabulous event that takes place every two years at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco. Its efforts support St. Anne’s Home, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, who have been serving the aged poor of San Francisco since 1901.

Yvonne Sangiacomo, one of our most beloved customers, is the founder of ‘Red Tie’ and it was our pleasure to support her and her wonderful charity. Two years ago, Brian and I donated our fully-loaded candy cart to the event, and this year we donated 300 containers filled with Yvonne’s favorite item in our store: French Guyeaux truffles.

We had a great time, here are some pics:
